Abstract

Peculiarities of students' way of life, physical activity, functional and physical power estimates give ground for establishing health improvement and physical activity recommendations and health improvement programs. The research target was to establish integrated bioelectric activity amplitude variation for different training degree females and males, performing protractile wrist muscle isometric contraction while increased load is applied. Sixty students of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences participated in the research (average age 19.66±0.03 years). The study was conducted in four student groups: physically active (trained) and physically passive (untrained) female and male groups. The research showed that after load increase to females and males who did not train bioelectric activity amplitude increased more compared to students who did exercise (respectively 1.7 and 2.14 times), as physically passive students muscle strength increased more due to the effect of nerve mechanism. Physically active students have a long lasting adaptation and their muscle contraction strength increased due to muscle factors. In physically passive females (20%) fatigue was observed when performing isometric contraction with 3 kg weight. Changes in integrated bioelectric activity amplitude showed that physically active students' muscle function status is better. Obtained results confirm positive effect of physical activity to all human body systems and have a general effect on health, which is important in everyday professional activity.
